Today Kaden turned 23 weeks old, Yay! Which means he should be about 11 inches long and weighs over a pound now. He got a few cute outfits for Christmas from his grandparents. He says, “thanks!” Grandma Pat also gave us more today. He’s got about as many clothes as I do now! 
We ordered his crib, changing table and a little dresser the other day. So once that gets here his room will pretty much be done. Yay!
We decided that since so many people were asking the name of the baby that we might as well just tell you. We weren’t going to say what it was yet because Chad figured people wouldn’t like it and they would complain. But I figure they will do that whether we tell you now or later. So his name is….
Kaden Taylor Smith
Baby has been moving around lots the past couple of days. He must be bored in there.
We finally got the slip cover for the rocking chair we bought for the nursery. It looks much better now. 
Now all we need is the rest of his furniture!
Baby and I got up early today. FedEx is supposed to be bringing the glass top for our dining room table. That is if they don’t break it again… So I have to be up early waiting. It’s not fun and I’m not really happy about it. Neither is the baby I don’t think. He’s kicking me for being awake so early. I gave him some strawberry milk to make him happy. It worked I think. Made me happy anyways.
We finally got the rocking chair for the nursery last night. We put it all together and it would look great…except for the fact that it doesn’t have any fabric on it, just real thin liner stuff. Not at all what was in the picture. I know it said, “slip covers sold separately” but I figured it would at least have real fabric. So we ordered a slip cover and now we’re waiting on that to get here. Stupid Walmart.com.
Baby is 21 weeks old today. He’s been fairly active so far. He woke me up a couple times this morning with his kicking. He’s growing pretty fast now. Most babies at this stage are about 10 and a half inches long. But since he was a little bigger than most babies at the sonogram he’s probably a little bigger than that. According to some other baby sites he also has eyebrows now.
Today Baby hasn’t been too active. He must have wore himself out with all the dancing he did yesterday. I read him my new story I wrote for Tato Stories. It will be posted tomorrow at noon, by the way. I think he likes stories. I still need to get him the book The Poky Little Puppy. That was my favorite book when I was little so I want him to have it too.
We’re also still waiting for his rocking chair to get here. We ordered one online about a week ago. After that comes we’ll probably order the rest of his furniture sometime later this month or the beginning of January. I’d like to repaint his room too. It’s kind of ugly right now. Don’t know when we’ll get around to doing that either.
Today the baby was moving around and kicking lots. He must like the techno music that’s been on all day. He also ate a turkey sandwich, some fried chicken, rice and ice cream today. He likes food. No wonder he is big already. Maybe I feed him too much…
Grandma Smith(Grandma Pat) brought him lots of nice clothes and pajamas the other day. We also bought him a really snazzy pimp onesie at Gordman’s. I can’t wait for him to wear it hehe.
We’ll we figured we’d start a site for the baby. So any new baby information and blogs on his whereabouts and what he does everyday will be posted here.
So most everyone knows now that we’re going to have a boy. We got to see him for the first time at the sonogram a couple weeks ago. He weighs about 12 ounces now. The lady doing the sonogram said that’s about like a can of beer. So he is a little big right now. We’ll see if he stays that way, we may have a fat baby hehe.
We’ve got a name all picked out but Chad says we can’t tell anyone until he’s born. But feel free to leave name suggestions if you’d like.
