Kaden has been pretty happy and in a good mood today considering how grouchy he was last night from his shots. I’ve been trying to get some good pictures and videos of him playing but it doesn’t work too well cuz the only form of camera we have are our cell phone which definitely are not known to have the best cameras. We need a digital camera and I really wish we could afford to get a video camera. We’ve already missed so much of Kaden that I would have really liked to have on video like the first time he tried cereal, his first swim, the first time he rolled over, ect. We’ve taken video on our phones but it only lets you record a 25 second clip and it’s all pixelated and doesn’t look good. After bills really all we have money for is food so there’s no money for cameras. :-( There’s a donate button at the bottom if you’d like to donate to our camera fund.
We just got back from Kaden’s 4 month doctor appointment. He weighs 13 pounds and 9 ounces and is 24 and a half inches long. She said he’s right where he should be for his age. She also said his flat head should even itself out in time (they do 95% of the time) but if not, he’ll have to wear a helmet for about 6 months or so until it gets better. :-( I hope he doesn’t have to. He got three more shots today so he wasn’t too thrilled about that.
Here are some pictures and a video from yesterday.
I was beginning to get a little discouraged because all the other 4 month olds held their heads high and were rolling over and Kaden barely lifts his head. But I have to remember he was a month early. He has been doing a lot better the last couple days with lifting his head higher. And this afternoon he rolled over from his tummy to his back!! I was pretty excited. He was pretty shocked too, I think it scared him a little hehe. He hasn’t done it again since then, maybe it scared him a little too much.
We got Kaden’s pictures back from Penney’s yesterday. They turned out pretty good except I had forgotten to take off the pink finger nail polish that was half way coming off so it looks kinda bad. Oh well I guess. We’re going to get more taken on the 29th so hopfully they’ll turn out better.

Other than that not much is new. Grandma Pat brought by a bunch of neat toys for Kaden. Some of them are for when he gets a little older but they look pretty fun. There’s one that’s like a car and makes cool car sounds. It’s pretty fun to play with if I do say so myself. :-P Kaden is still out growing a lot of his clothes. He doesn’t have a lot of summer clothes left that fit now. Guess it better hurry up and get cold so he can start wearing his other clothes.
Kaden’s still doing good. He’s talking a lot now and likes to suck on his hands. He hasn’t had too much more cereal to eat lately. He gets a little frustrated that it takes longer to eat that way. :-P I still wish we had a video camera, we’re missing all of his firsts. He already had his first cereal eating and his first swim. :-( Hopefully we can get one soon. We’re still waiting on his other pictures to get back from Penney’s too. They should be back on the 17th.
Kaden tried rice cereal for the fist time yesterday. He seems to like it. He ate quite a bit more today. Yesterday was also his first swim in his new pool. He likes it as long as the water isn’t too cold and the sun isn’t in his eyes. It would be easier if he could sit up on his own too. Sear’s and JcPenney’s keep sending my coupons for free 8×10 pictures so we got some more pictures taken on the 5th. They should be back on the 17th. We have another appointment at Penney’s on the 26th to get another free picture.
Today Kaden slept in his crib without his Snugglenest for the first time. He scoots around a lot though. He’s a big boy now. He’s doing well with all these changes. He’s still growing out of his clothes pretty fast. All my favorite outfits are too small for him now. :-( Time to get new favorites I guess!
Today marks the 100th day Kaden has been with us, hooray! We were going to have a party but realized there wasn’t much to do. So instead we’re all going to go to Walmart and get the oil changed in Chad’s car. Should be fun. Hah! No new news to report. Kaden and I went to see his Great Grandpa and Grandpa with Dad yesterday. They were glad to see him again. The day before that Great Grandpa and Grandma Ternes and my Aunt Kathy came in town from Arlington and visited. So he’s been pretty busy visiting with relatives. Grandma Pat brough over one of those tummy carrier things yesterday too. So far Kaden seems to enjoy it. He fell asleep in it once and we went for a walk with him in it. It’s nice to have the use of my arms while holding him.
